Mr Rogers "Nightmare on Elm Street" Mens and Womens Funny Mashup T-Shirt
This funny tee creates a disturbing mash-up you would never expect. Fred Rogers was the gentlest man on TV... but what if that quiet demeanor hid something truly insidious? Every town has an Elm Street... even Mr. Roger's Neighborhood!
Fred Rogers was easily one of the most recognizable and well respected men in the world. His calm and slow television show helped to establish PBS and won him four Emmy awards. Every episode began with Mr. Rogers coming home in the afternoon, singing the theme song "Won't You be My Neighbor" and changing his shoes to sneakers and putting on his famous zip-up cardigan. Most episodes tried to tackle difficult challenges for young children and in general explain the real world before taking a trip to the neighborhood of make-believe to visit King Friday and his other puppet friends. In real life, Fred Rogers was an advocate of public broadcasting, even appearing before congress to expand funding, and any cause that sought to help children and families learn and live healthy lives.
Freddy Krueger on the other hand... was a child killer that escaped justice on a technically who was chased by an angry mob and burned alive! The serial killer returned to haunt the dreams of children in Springwood, Ohio, tormenting them with his razor-finger leather gloves until they die in real life. Wes Craven created the villain for Nightmare on Elm Street that turned into a huge franchise revolving around the scarred psychopath, masterfully portrayed by Robert Englund through every sequel until 2003.
