Led Zeppelin "Ramble On 1969" LOTR Rock Mens and Womens T-Shirt
Well, this was my very first "favorite" Zeppelin song... and 25 years later I honestly think it's STILL my favorite Led Zep speaker blaster... when I crank this track up on a hot summer day... it's got the same exciting intensity of watching a real Led Zeppelin fall from the sky... if you don't get what I'm sayin'... you probably need to Ramble On (or spin Led Zeppelin II again)!
This song reminds me a lot of Brant Bjork's awesome solo work, no he's not with Zeppelin... but if you dig Zeppelins hard rock music the way we do... you really need to check out Brant's early bands like Kyuss and Fu Manchu
Alright, so that was our public service announcement advising you to discover some excellent underground rock bands that we know you'll fall in love with, now let's get back to Led Zeppelin...
Many of you may have overlooked the fact that Robert Plant's song lyrics are heavily inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of The Rings... of course if you read them now, you'll recognize the references and see this particular songs written from the perspective of Frodo Baggins (or possibly Aragorn):
"Mine's a tale that can't be told, My freedom I hold dear; How years ago in days of old When magic filled the air, T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor I met a girl so fair. But Gollum, and the evil one crept up And slipped away with her."
Pretty cool stuff man... and this isn't the only Zep track to feature Lord of The Rings lyrics... "Misty Mountain Hop", "The Battle of Evermore" and the infamous "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" all reference the incredible Tolkien trilogy!
Another unusual fact associated with this Ramble On tee is that drummer John "Bonzo" Bonham used a trash bin for the drums, which many mistake for bongos. That's quite un-real, that such an amazing song was created with a garbage can for drums!! Also amazing that guitarist Jimmy Page isn't the trivia fact for this song, as he is with almost all other Zep tracks!
Need we say more? Grab this killer cool (but totally subtle) Led Zeppelin t-shirt... and always remember FRODO LIVES!!!
