Elvis Costello "Pump It Up" Indie Rock Men's T-Shirt

Elvis Costello has got to be the ONLY man in music history that could look like a mix of Andy Dick, Woody Allen and Buddy Holly... and still pull-off the name Elvis!

Oddly he's done it without any negative association or perceived cop-out to the obvious King of Rock and Roll... he stands on his own... and that's simply awesome in itself... and exactly why this new wave t-shirt is an indie cult classic!

Although, beyond that... music critic Stephen Erlewine (senior editor of Allmusic.com) wrote "Costello, the pop encyclopedia, can reinvent the past in his own image"... and if that isn't the truest statement ever put to digital paper... well, I don't know what is... did we mention Costello's lyrics are pure genius? Yeah.

With songs like "Watching the Detectives"... "I Want You"... and of course "Pump It Up"... Costello's wordplay and storytelling skills are plastic fantastic... never mind the funky grooves he extracts from such simple themes... playing his Fender Stratocaster like it's an object... rather than a guitar... he still manages to flow an immense amount of soul out of it!

Personally... Elvis Costello and The Attractions earlier work always reminds me of the tv show "Welcome Back Kotter" (John Travolta as "Vinnie Barbarino" - haha!!)... I looove that his music does that... Thin Lizzy and Billy Joel also had the "Kotter" sound... it's just a real New York city vibe... you can almost smell the old bricks and see the graffiti on the trains (even though Thin Lizzy is from Ireland, their song "Johnny" is a classic Kotter Sound track).

So yeah... do we really need to say more about this wicked cool indie punk t-shirt?
I know everyone has an opinion on musical style... so whether you want it to be a new wave tshirt...
a punk tee shirt... or just a rock shirt... it's all up to you... you just have to remember one thing:

PUMP IT UP!!!
