Kurt Cobain "Nevermind" Nirvana Men's T-Shirt
Not gonna write much about this one... everything to be said, has been said... but to be clear, this shirt is not a derogatory statement... I honestly believe Kurt Cobain would appreciate a Nirvana shirt like this... left-field, punk rock, anti-social, iconoclastic... this design is in honor of the modern worlds greatest punk songwriter.
When I first heard the chorus for the tune "Bleach", I was instantly mesmerized by the band Nirvana... the name Kurt Cobain soon became a permanent memory in my jaded partying skateboarder psyche... not so much because I identified with what he was saying, but because I was astonished by the artistic perspective the man had... he took something that had come-and-gone (early punk rock), and re-invented it into something entirely fresh and musical... I could actually FEEL the music, something that was sorely lacking from each cassette tape that I had purchased over the previous few years.
Another element of this design that makes it more than just a death mask, is the fact that Cobain is a member of the "Forever 27 Club"... a group of A-List musicians who all died at the age of 27 (under mysterious circumstances)... the main five who make up the list are: Brian Jones (Rolling Stones), Jimi Hendrix (Experience), Janis Joplin (Big brother and the Holding Company), Jim Morrison (The Doors), and Kurt Cobain (Nirvana).
There are many other notable musicians who have also died at the young age of 27, which makes this phenomena something of a bizarre cult... while sadly, people die all the time... for some strange, perhaps even supernatural reason, many famous musicians die exactly at 27... with Kurt being a perfect fit among the Top 5 members of this elite group.
R.I.P. Kurt, long live the Rock & Roll lifestyle...
your life was not in vain, your music lives forever.
