Mythbusters "Dr Who" Mens and Womens Movie Quote T-Shirt
Adam Savage is a special effects and industrial design guru who co-hosts Mythbusters on Discovery Channel with his mustachioed partner Jamie Hyneman--but the zany foil to Hyneman the straight man is also a prominent skeptic.
Mythbusters--also starring "the build team" Grant Imahara, Kari Byron, and Tory Belleci--helped to make science cool for a new generation. The show premiered in 2003 and took off in popularity as the gang experiments and tests the validity of popularly held beliefs, viral videos, old sayings, seemingly impossible movie scenes and the odd ridiculous news story.
Adam Savage's de facto catchphrase "I reject your reality and substitute my" was borrowed from an old episode of Dr. Who but fits his skeptical beliefs and it is a perfect match for this tee featuring a classic psychedelic and existential pop art piece by Martin Sharp.
Sharp was an Australian born artist, songwriter, filmmaker and cartoonist. His psychedelic posters of Bob Dylan and Scottish folk-singer Donovan established him as Australia's foremost pop artist. He co-wrote Cream's "Tales of Brave Ulysses" which was the B-side to their hit "Strange Brew" and he designed album covers for their Disraeli Gears and Wheels of Fire records at Eric Clapton's insistence. He also created the famous "exploding" poser of Jimi Hendrix based on a photo by Linda McCartney and materials for a "legalize pop" rally that have become highly sought after collector's pieces. His "float" poster, seen here, is a rare minimalistic, pop-oriented design from the late 60s.
