Stray Cats "Rockabilly Fever" Swing Punk Mens and Womens T-Shirt
Some of the younger cats may only know Brian Setzer from his swing band... the Brian Setzer Orchestra... he was instrumental in bringing back "swing dancing" to the modern age... which is a pretty hard thing to do considering it's quite a bold fashion!
But before he got his super rockin' swing band started... he was built for speed in the legendary Stray Cats (with Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom)... They rock this town doing the stray cat strut... these guys were even more instrumental in bringing back the 1950's hot-rod greaser image to popular culture!(Think: The Clash, but mixed with a whole lot of Elvis Presley)
This killer cool image was later adopted by the rockabilly counter-culture and the Juxtapozed lowbrow art movement of the Kustom Kulture scene... which was originally started by artists such as Big Daddy Roth (Rat Fink) and VonDutch / Kenny Howard (pinstriping legend)... then later revived by modern artists such as Robert Williams (old Thrasher magazine art) and the world-renowned "Coop" (smoking devil head logo)!
So this ones for all you bikers, rockabillies, hellbillies, wild ones, lowbrows, counter-culturalists, hot-rod enthusiasts, urban primitives and juxtipositioners... get your Stray Cat Strut on and drag that gray primer painted flaming 49' Merc down the strip until the chrome platters fall off!!!
