Kyuss "Orange Amp" Stoner Rock Women's T Shirt

The desert never sounded so good... when Stoner Rock legends Kyuss broke through in the early 1990's, they created the cornerstone to a genre that had no name... until they stormed the airwaves... and it's been tube amps and Sabbathian fuzz ever since!

So this Orange Amp inspired t-shirt is a left-eyed take on a vintage Kyuss high... taking hints from the sleeve of the ground breaking album 'Blues for the Red Sun' (a play on the title of an episode of Carl Sagan's 'The Universe')... all while blending it with the amp that made it all possible... add in a few other song hints, maybe a Bic lighter on the amp... and you've got a killer cool stoner rock t-shirt with an unusual amount of fan-focused lore embedded!

For the purists... yes, it's true a teenage Joshua Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, Eagles of Death Metal) played his Gibson through a bass amp... but it's also true there were Orange Amps involved, and Green Amps... no Purple Amps though... they sound too much like a titty twister! ;P

Even after the demise of the band... founding members John Garcia, Nick Oliveri, and Brant Bjork went on to attain godlike status among the rabid fans of Kyuss and the mold they struck... bands like Hermano, QOTSA, Slo-Burn, and Fu Manchu are all essential Desert Rock names... and all of these bands best works have a direct connection to the members of Kyuss, in one-way-or-another... these dudes seriously know how to work music!

We thank our lucky stars Kyuss even existed... they helped fuse-the-gap between classic hard rock of the 70's (Sabbath, Cactus, Zeppelin, Blue Cheer, etc.), and the long struggling revivalist rock scene of the modern day... 70's rock totally slayed the dragon, but it was difficult to find the modern equivalent... everything sounded forced, unnatural replications... so thank Satan for Kyuss... they single-handedly crafted the future of the pure rock and roll music!
