Led Zeppelin "Ramble On" Rock Women's T Shirt
The world was never the same the day Led Zeppelin brought their hard rock boogie to the masses... 1969 saw the release of Zeppelin II, and from the opening chords of "Whole Lotta Love"... aaalll theee waaaaay thruuuu the bluesy-stomp of "Bring it On Home"... Zep II slammed and rocked and rolled like no other!!
However, what really stood out most on this particular record (despite the obvious gems), was the Lord of the Rings inspired romp "Ramble On"... an incredibly groovy jam with a full-tilt lean towards LOTR lore... now it's no secret that Robert Plant often drew influence from J.R.R. Tolkien's masterpiece (Battle of Evermore, Misty Mountain Hop, Bron-Y-Aur Stomp)... but "Ramble On" is the most apropo, the most epic, the most visual.
So why do we have Bassist (and all around musical prodigy) John Paul Jones as the focus of a LOTR inspired song?
Well, as the cover of this Zep album illustrates... a group of men ban together to go on a dangerous journey of war, with the future uncertain... JPJ may be sitting up front in the photo, but he's lower down... he's not the focus, he's the quiet one, the one they underestimate... the underdog... the true hero!
