Cream "Lester Bangs" Rock Journalist Women's T Shirt

Not many rock music journalists had the balls of Lester Bangs (Rolling Stone, Creem Magazine, Playboy)... but sometimes the stars are aligned, and an era of people are just ready to smell whats cookin... in this case, Bangs legacy was solidified by a time period where the social unrest was ripe for his cynicism... we hated the man one week for a horridly honest album review, and then revered him the next for his brilliant questioning (interrogation?) of a major rock and roll star!

Oddly enough, Philip Seymour Hoffman did a bang-up job (ha, no pun!) bringing Bangs back from the grave in the cult classic movie "Almost Famous"... director Cameron Crowe (Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Say Anything, Singles) masterfully created this semi-autobiographical rock film... flawlessly capturing a major highlight in the process, the illustration of Bangs' vile and disdain for post-60's radio and art... it's not long, but it's sweet as hell!

Bangs' likeness is on par with greats such as Hunter S. Thompson, Charles Bukowski and Frank Zappa... this shirt is as much a homage to the author... as it is a radical retro print, perfect for any beat/street poet that's worth his weight in piss and venom!
