The Groundhogs "Thank Christ for the Bomb" Blues Rock Women's T Shirt

Ahh, the mighty Tony McPhee and The Groundhogs... on permanent rotation around these parts... where would we be without his vicious take on ordinary blues, dripping with quirky psychedelia... we love the blues, we love McPhee's picture of the blues ever better!

'Thank Christ for the Bomb' is a signature Groundhogs album... it may be an abrasive and distasteful statement, but that's just keeping in true nihilist rock fashion... influencing everyone from Tom Waits to Josh Homme (Kyuss, QOTSA), Tony McPhee's mastery of studio gadgetry laid the groundwork for angular, off-kilter rock'n'roll... weaving tapestries of sonic mayhem still unmatched by today's standards!

The first four Groundhogs albums are as important to the acid rock movement as the first four Zeppelin or Sabbath records... that's a huge claim for a band most average people have never even heard of... a few decades later and their legacy has been cemented right alongside the big boys (and you still haven't heard of them, have you!?!?!)... Tony McPhee is as much of a guitar solo legend as Jimmy Page or Tony Iommi... so grab an album and give it a spin (we suggest Split or Blues Obituary to start, work your way up to "Thank Christ")... you'll be shocked at how badass this intelligent blues rocker band was, and still is!
