They call it "slow death from the head down"... I call it an excuse, for the albino shapeshifting lizard bitches to interject their will upon the privacy of the citizen. It's no wonder Hells Angels don't consider themselves "citizens", they can see the forest through the trees, man... and on the other side is a life without soul-sucking demonoids trying to steal the gears off your bike, all so they can sell them back to you!
Do you get what i'm saying?
I believe Philip K. Dick, the original author of 'A Scanner Darkly' did... he saw first hand how The Man operates, divides and conquers, and spreads his System to other fools that are too weak minded to recognize the game that's being played... if you're not their pawn, you're their enemy.
It's said "Substance D" is a drug that will rot your mind... literally collapsing the space between the two hemispheres of your brain, creating a psychological vortex that will eventually dilute your reality until there is nothing left but a complete fantasy world, in which for you to live... actually sounds pretty good!!
"Either you're addicted, or you haven't tried it."
- James Barris
I think the reason movie director Richard Linklater spent so much time on a new film animation method (interpolated rotoscope), to adapt this book into film, was because the story truly deserved it... besides the legendary (and hilarious) capture of realistic stoner dialog, this story's moral contains more truth than fiction.
While the plot in the movie went over many viewers heads, don't mistake the naysayers cries as fact (they also didn't understand Cronenbergs / Burroughs "Naked Lunch")... not many movies get reviews that read like:
"its intelligence makes it near-essential viewing"
So don't get greeked, don't get...
