Sci-fi! Horror! DOOM launched an entire genre of video games and freaked out parents world wide! Get the shirt and open the gates to Hell!
For the uninitiated among you--DOOM was the original first person shooter game where you controlled a space marine, "Doomguy", alone on a remote Mars base. The post was meant to be a punishment but you seemingly become the only thing between Earth and the hordes of cyborg demons brought to our realm by teleportation experiments gone wrong.
DOOM reinvented gaming and created a whole subculture thanks to its freeware platform that was distributed to some 10 million people. Not to mention all the controversy over its satanic imagery and groundbreaking, but violent graphics only stirred the frenzy. Highly detailed worlds, a terrifying atmosphere, an ambient heavy metal soundtrack, stereo sound and endless torrents of demons, spiderdemons, revenants and cyberdemons were like nothing anyone had ever seen before.
Only the most hardened players could even make it to the shores of Hell, let alone the final boss. You had to carefully make use of a massive arsenal of pistols, shotguns, chainguns, rocket launchers, and the all powerful BFG 9000. Everything from Duke Nukem to Halo to Medal of Honor owe something to DOOM! Online multiplayer games all must pay some tribute to the notorious deathmatch. The game was so popular that internet nodes were shutting down DOOM users and workplaces around the world implemented no-DOOM policies.
Put on this shirt, grab a berserk pickup and a chainsaw and face your ultimate doom unless thy flesh be consumed!
